About Us
Plants and flowers have always played an important role in my life. My mother grows (and has for 50 years)African Violets that put most other violet plants to shame. She was always looking for a new one and has dozens of them at any given time lined up on windowsills and shelves.
Even though I love my inside plants, my passion has been in growing flowers and plants outside. With every season, the garden takes on a different look and requires certain attention. Spring is a thrilling time of year for me as I wait and watch for my different plants to re-appear. When the Iris start to bloom, it is like seeing an old friend again. I make my husband go on garden tour with me every week just to see what is blooming and what is about to bloom.
It has been fun to photograph some of the really special plants and scrapbook the pictures. Pictures are a great way keep track of the plants progress as well. The other really fun way to keep a log of plants is to press them in a plant press and create an herbarium.
Because of my enjoyment of plants combined with years of working within the medical field, I began studying herbal medicine 6 years ago and have only just scratched the surface of the potential uses of plants. It is exciting to know that there are thousands of people like me who just want to learn about herbs and how to use them as a health benefit.

Our business is a labor of love giving us an opportunity to share what we have created. We like the personal relationship we have with growing, tending, and harvesting the plants, drying and preserving the harvest, and creating products that are useful and enjoyable to others.
Who We Are
Back In Thyme is a small business operation that has grown over the past few years into a locally recognized small herbal business that produces a variety of potpourris, and other good smelling products.
We participate in local Farmer'sMarkets, Craft Shows, and Bazaars each year but this is our first year to offer our products on the internet through our web site plus we are members of Local Harvest's web site: www.localharvest.org.
